Amazing what a difference the firm ground makes. Brecon is usually firm, as it's quite high and the ground drains well. That's what makes the Gwent League so good, five very different sort of courses and the outcome is always different. Roll on Blaise Castle - so long as it doesn't rain!
Done a report on "Race reports" to start the ball rolling.........big up!!!
Matt, where was your club vest? i'm surprised Derek didn't disqualify you!
Nobody will be brave enough to mention the Cardiff Half at this point I'm betting :-)
LOL!!
That rule about the club vests is it inter area? No I forgot all about it. The things I do for charity e.g. the cardiff half!
Yvonne,
Several runners from different clubs either did not wear their club vests or were wearing variations. I asked Phil to have a word with Matt. I was only aware of his vest after the race. Jeff Aston has now placed a message concerning vests on the Gwent League web-site.
Good job Derek!....
While I was doing my race prep for the Brecon Gwent League I had forgotten about the club vest rule, sorry, I wore my club shirt instead. I will be wearing my vest on Saturday in Bristol.
Nice flat course today with a couple of ramps, and lots of bends. Sorry to Rob Jones who I pushed in front of to give Andy Cleves a ribbing for coming from nowhere on the last lap to beat me by twenty metres, we got the right finishing numbers in the end.
