I won't be at the club this Thursday so will ask the question now.

Is anybody lift-sharing on Saturday ? I don't mind driving but would rather have a full car than an empty one.

Let me know.

As Nick said this is the last Cross Country of the season and WE NEED YOU ALL OUT, even if you haven't run any of the previous events this winter please try and make an appearance for this one. We are leading most of the Team awards, but in the V40's we are 2nd to Neath, this will be tough but we could sneak it back

Hi, i'll be there for this one, but can't car share unfotunately as taking kids to friends on route. see you there.

Phil/Yvonne,

Please put mine and Jemma's names on the teamsheet again.

Yes, honestly.

2 in a row for Jemma and Simon - they must be making a comeback! As Nick and Phil said please all turn out for this one as we don't want to lose our positions in the team competition, especially after getting the senior ladies into a top 3 position! thanks.

Happy to take a car too, but not leaving til 10:15 so no help for the men, sorry. Last Gwent league of the season - sounds like an excuse for cakes to me. Will see what I can do.

An excuse for cakes, Libby? as if you needed one.................

March 3, 2010 at 5:28 PM | Unregistered CommenterMick

Libby - You may want to hide the cakes. The men will be finished before you, and if we know where the cakes are, they will be finished too!!!! :-))

Don't want to spoil the tea party but ...... does anyone need to get back to watch the City(Cardiff) game? We could probably make the start of the game ... or there abouts.... if I run really......fast.
Sorry ladies but .... the 'boys' need ......some support.

Forecast for perfect sunny weather. The location is scenic, and there is a cafe and children's playground for any supporters.

Good excuse for a day out in Bristol.

I'm driving there as I'll have my little boy with me, plus car seat, plus all the stuff you take for kids...I'd rather ease the car squeeze so if anyone wishes to ride shotgun please ring me from 8.30 tonight - 029 20 617 433

Or in plain English, does anyone need a lift?

Congratulations to all who ran in what should have been the first race of spring but felt like the middle of winter.

Well done everyone. Sorry that I made such a catastrophic nav error and missed the race. Matthew had a nice kip in the car while I fretted and drove around the Westcountry, but he also enjoyed the runners, the playground and 'digging for moles'. On the way home I stopped at Halfords and bought a Sat Nav.

Hooray! I'm on several of the pictures, glad I got my hair cut. I'm quite taken with the idea of having my photo put on a mug, perhaps lots of mugs. I'm so lovely.

That's modest of you Alan, mug of the month maybe? lmao

Well done to all. A very enjoyable day out.

I even managed to persuade Mrs S to come along and support. She was very impessed by the more 'mature' runners slogging round.

It's not the speed you go but the strength of spirit that matters!

welldone to all from the club, to those who did just one or all five of them, I hear we picked up nearly a gwentleague dinner service in prizes, just glad to hold off storming stuart by just 2points phew!

Well done everyone. A great day out and a lovely location to finish the season. Congratulations to everyone who contributed. Another very successful season and great commitment. Spare a thought for Rob Jones, who led the M50 section after four fixtures, but was struck down by tonsilitis and could not compete. We know you'll be back, Rob - get well soon, mate! And also, Jeff Aston, who sustained a nasty injury at Taunton and who couldn't run for many weeks. Jeff was thankfully still able to run at both Brecon and Blaise to maintain his quite remarkable sequence - that's now 144 consecutive Gwent Leagues. There's only one word to describe that - GROSS!

Dukes! You lucky @*@*@*. Only joking. Great season pal. You will never beat me again though, so you'd just better get used to it ;-))

March 8, 2010 at 9:43 PM | Unregistered CommenterStu C

Look Crees! I can still beat you in London. I beat you last year! I had three more pints than you. by the way I didn't beat you by 2pts IT WAS 3 THREE

Can anyone hear a mumbling in the background?........
