Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 1:46PM The ladies put in a sterling performance earlier this afternoon at the European Clubs Cross Country Championships. On a tight twisty and often very muddy course all the team put in terrific effort.
Up against some of the foremost European Clubs, Les Croupiers' Ladies; representing the UK, did themselves proud. All finished including Jen who was suffering the latter part of the race with a painful ankle injury.
Congratulations to all the team of Katie Beecher, Maria Zubizarreta, Libby O´Duffy, Jen Salter, Liz Ashton and team captain Phil Cook.
Now off to buy the drinkers amongst them a well deserved glass or two of Rioja.
The results can be found here:

Photos of the event now available in the Off Road gallery.

Well done, ladies and supporters - dig deep into your wallets to buy these ladies the drinks their efforts deserve. When you've recovered from your hangovers you can start writing those diaries for ACE. We'd love to give you a ticker-tape reception at the airport, but I've run out of ticker-tape.
Drinking ??
There must be some mistake...
Surely you mean a post-race celebratory cultural tour of the Guggenheim with 'Townsend Tours' ?
Amazing - well done everyone !

To you girls, WELL DONE and thanks for a great weekend of loads of laughs and fun (...with a few nerve wrecking moments prior to the run...).
Got a few pages of the daily diary I kept...just needs typing, hopefully this weekend it'll be done.
And now more... Gwent League Saturday.... ahhhh, can someone remind me why we do this???
See you all there.
I'll tell you why, Maria - it's because you love it.
Might be a bit chilly in Brecon though.
