Welsh Masters' Track and Field Championships 2009

Fine weather greeted athletes at Cardiff International Stadium for the Welsh Masters Track and Field Championships on Sunday, 2nd August 2009. A strong headwind in the finishing straight seemed likely to prevent any track records but an enthusiastic and vociferous field contingent made for an entertaining day.

Les Croupiers had five athletes eager to compete, not only with local athletes but also from across the Severn, the Irish Sea and from Arran in Scotland. Alan and Loretta Mann, Clive Osmond, Howard Brown and Mike Davies took full advantage of the occasion to try and set championship records at the new stadium.

A full report will be posted when all the results are finalised.  Congratulations to Howard Brown for winning a Silver medal in the 5000m (Male 60+) and Loretta Daley for her Gold in the 3K Walk (F40+). Championship Results.
